Meet Oxford agent Manny Guervil!

Sometimes business opportunities come at the least expected moment, and that’s exactly what happened to Manny Guervil when he started a three hour conversation with a real estate investor. That initial conversation about wealth management led Manny to eventually pursue his real estate license, having developed the desire to create a thriving business for himself and his family.


After obtaining his license a year ago, Manny transitioned full-time into real estate in January, only to see the COVID-19 pandemic affect everything in his life, from his business to many family members. Acting as the primary caregiver to his aunt who was sick with COVID-19, Manny also contracted the virus which he battled for 2.5 months. Happily, everyone in Manny’s family who had COVID-19 has made a full recovery.


Now healthy, Manny is able to continue to build his impressive real estate portfolio, where he works primarily with residential clients in both sales and rentals all over New York City. Manny initially joined Kian Realty once he obtained his license because he liked the 100% commission model they offered agents. He’s been happy with that the company merged with Oxford Property Group, which Manny sees as offering agents tools and resources to truly help them thrive and succeed, as well as the same commission structure.


For real estate agents starting out, Manny encourages them to mentally prepare to endure challenging times. He noted that if you remain consistent, deals will start to fall into place as you build your business. In addition to persistence, Manny also thinks dedication and discipline will lead agents to success and said that the “harder you work, the luckier you’ll be.”


When Manny isn’t working on real estate deals, he’s spending time with his family, including Jaden, Manny’s beloved eight year old son. We’re thrilled that Manny has joined the team at Oxford and know that he will have an incredible career at Oxford!
